Rediscover Your Local Library

libraryIf you are looking for some cheap (FREE) entertainment, try the library.  I think I’ve talk about this before.  The library is free and many libraries offer WiFi, movie checkouts, audio book checkouts, and I found out recently that the library system in St. Louis County offers game checkouts.  You can’t request them, but you can check out games for some of the more popular game systems out right now (Wii, Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3).  I’ll have to take advantage of that.

I’ve been coming to the library for years.  It seems that as the economy got worse, more and more people showed up at the library.

I am typing this post on the library’s WiFi (once it finally started working…must be the weather).  Both of my daughters are on the computers here also.  We have a “library night” one night a week.  They get to check out books, movies and catridges for the leap frog and leap pad.

The library is safe, warm when it’s cold out and cool when it’s warm out, well lit, and quiet.  I’ve always loved book stores…and libraries are a close runner up.
