Save money on your paperback books…
This is a new one on me, but it makes a lot of sense. I like books just like the next person, but the price of books is going up. In addition, the cost of everything else is going up. If you want to be able to continue to feed your reading habit, try PaperBackSwap.com. PaperBackSwap.com is a service that allows you to trade your unneeded books to other readers for credits, which you can use to get books from other readers. Wouldn’t you like to get your books for FREE. This is almost as good. Each book you are done with is mailed to another reader. So you lose that book, however, with your credits, you pay a reader and they mail their book to you. You are only losing the cost of the book you are giving up. It’s a little like going to the library.
Joining the service is free. You can also advertise for PaperBackSwap.com on your blog or web site for credits, which you can use to get more books. There is one catch with the advertising that I found in writing this post. It is possible to get the ad code without actually having an account or being logged in. This would mean that the code would not have your account number in it, which means you would not get the credits. Make sure you are logged in. Once you are, you can click the Spread The Word link at the bottom of the page to get the creative (ad).
