Changing Your Own Oil Can Save You Money

You can save some money with a little DIY. I used to take my car in to the shop to get the oil changed, but no more… I actually learned how to change oil from Auto Shop class in high school. I still remember the procedure and have been following it for the past 20+ years. I’d list it out, but it might be better is you see it being done.

A read asked where to take the oil after it has been removed from the vehicle. Around St. Louis, and probably around the conutry, there are service stations that will take the oil for recycling. I take mine to a gas station that works on cars. The accept oil for recycling. You may have to do a little checking, but I’m sure there are places that will take it.
