Ask and Ye Shall Receive

I’ve learned that it never hurts to ASK for a discount.  This is important when it comes to the price of a service that is in an industry where there is a lot of competition.  The high-speed Internet arena has several different highly competitive companies.

Since we are a people that want something for little (or nothing).  What I have done is call the phone company and let them know that unless I am able to get a discount, I am going to go to a competitor for by broadband service.  This usually works because no company wants to lose your business.  I currently have a 6meg download speed at a pretty low price due to discounts I received by asking.  My current broadband provider is AT&T, however, if Charter comes up with something faster/cheaper, I’ll switch.  I also have a great price on Dish because I asked.

Ask.  The worse that can happen is they say “no”.
