Quick Tip of the Day for 5/26/2008
Make Your Own Dryer Sheets
Do you use fabric softener AND dryer sheets? You can make your own dryer sheets and save yourself from having to purchase boxes of dryer sheets.
Here is what you need to do:
- Get a bunch of washcloths. If you don’t have that many, you can purchase some for this project from the dollar store. You can probably get 50 or so for $1 or $2.
- Purchase a bottle of fabric softener. Again, if you get it from the dollar store, you can get it pretty cheap.
- Get a large bowl (you can even use the sink). Put all of the washcloths in and fill it with water just enough to make all of the towels wet..not too much.
- Pour in a cup of fabric softener and mix.
- Ring out the towels and dry them in the dryer.
You now have 50 dryer sheets for, basically, the cost of the fabric softener (and the initial cost of the towels, if you didn’t have any).
