Free Email Accounts
Who would have thought that of all the things that are offered free these days, someone would be offering email accounts for free? Actually, I remember that my first real Internet email address was simpsonj (at) usa.net. USA.NET offered free email back in the 90′s. I didn’t see the benefit in offering free email accounts then either. Here is a list of services that offer free email accounts:

I would say that this is a way to save money, but I don’t know anyone that actually pays specifically for their email account. They either receive it as an incidental to another service or they pick up one from a free service.
