Do club cards really save you money?
I’m sure you have seen the advertising for store club cards. Many stores have them and the primary reason is to get you to come back to that store/chain. First of all, what stores have club cards?
- AutoZone Rewards – As with all of the other reward programs, you have to keep the card with you. When you make a purchase over $20, they scan your card. Once you have made 5 purchases of $20 each, you get a $20 credit on your card towards AutoZone purchases. I like the fact that you can redeem the rewards from the card and you don’t have to wait for something to show up in the mail 3 months later. I also like that you can manage your account and see your purchase history online. This program is free.
- Petco P.A.L.S. Program – If you have pets, this program is for you. In my estimation, any savings on pet products is a plus. With the Petco P.A.L.S. program, you save on food and grooming. You also receive information and event invitations via email. This seems to be better than most store savings programs, as is professed in this blog entry. This program is free.
- Hallmark Gold Crown Club – I’ve used this program and it is definitely worth it. They scan your card every time you make a purchase. The amount of the purchase is converted into points. After a certain number of points, you receive rewards in the form of a coupon. Just like the other programs so far, Hallmark Gold Crown Club is free.
- Harrah’s Total Rewards – This program has three levels and all of them offer benefits. The initial level is Gold and it offers benefits and discounts based on how much you play. In addition, it offers 10% off items in the gift shop. Find out more about the Harrah’s Total Rewards Program and get your Total Rewards card at your local Harrah’s Casino.
